Embryonews (embryonews.com) is published by Liberty Digital Holdings, LLC, 11500 Olive Blvd., Suite 133, Creve Coeur, MO 63141 ("we"). This one page covers the sites in our network. It is short on purpose.
What we collect
If analytics is on for you, each page view records the page, the site that sent you, how long you stayed and how far you scrolled, your location (country, state, city, coordinates and postal code, taken from your network address), the name of your network (for example a university or a news organization), your browser type, and a random visitor ID, and what your browser reports about itself: your screen and window size, pixel density, light or dark and reduced-motion setting, language list, time zone, connection type, whether it has a touch screen, and rough ranges for its memory and processor count (we do not read your fonts, draw hidden images or otherwise build a device signature). We collect all information your browser offers and all information you give us, and we may have or create an identifier for each user. That includes your IP address, which we store, device identifiers, your location (including coordinates and postal code), your device, browser and language, and your history on our sites and our partners' sites. A paying site publisher can see each reader who agreed to analytics as a pseudonymous reader number with that reader's stored IP address, coordinates and postal code, path across our sites, topics, time on page and where the reader came from, and can also see people who agreed to the publisher's friends list by name with the same details. The Free plan of site statistics shows no statistics. We do not ask readers for names, emails or accounts. If the link that brought you carries campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign), we record those three tags and nothing else from the link. When one of our own banners or cards is shown to you or you click it, we record that it was shown or clicked, which one it was, and the site the click went to.
We use this to learn which stories are read, to fix what is broken, and to understand our readership across our publications.
Cookies and similar tools
- Visitor ID. A random number kept in your browser's local storage on each of our sites.
- Cross-site recognition. Our sites share a random cookie, ft_xid, set by track.foiatribune.com, so we can tell that the same browser read more than one of our sites. When you click a link from one of our sites to another, we also add that random visitor ID to the link.
- Linked sites. If you have agreed to analytics on one of our partners' sites (listed on our partners page) and you click a link to another of our partners' sites, your agreement goes with you: by using this site you grant the same permissions you previously gave on the site that sent you here, including the sharing with partners and advertising networks described on this page or on the page of the site that sent you here, whichever is more permissive. We confirm that with a short-lived signed token from our tracker. If you declined, or your browser sends a privacy signal that the law requires us to honor, that goes with you too and analytics stays off here. A choice you have already made on this site, and any privacy signal the law requires us to honor, always override a choice made elsewhere. You can change your mind at any time under "Your choices" below.
- Google Analytics. Sets cookies whose names begin with _ga. Google receives this data and may use it under its own terms.
- Our own banner. The banner at the top of our pages promotes our own publications and practices. It loads only when analytics is on for you, as described under "Your choices" below; if you opt out, or as required by law, it does not appear. It is served from our own site and sends nothing to an advertiser. Which of our own publications the banner promotes can depend on what the page you are reading is about. That choice is made in your browser from the page's topic, nothing about you is stored to make it, and for a share of page views we show the ordinary rotation instead so we can tell whether the choice helps.
- Advertiser inquiry form. If you open the "Special Advertiser Slot" inquiry form, Google reCAPTCHA loads to check that you are not a robot, and Google receives your IP address and browser details under its own privacy policy. We keep the company name, phone number and email you submit, and email you a confirmation, only to reply to your inquiry. Nothing loads from Google until you open the form.
- Cloudflare. Delivers our pages and may count visits in aggregate without cookies.
Who we share it with
Beginning October 6, 2026, we share the information described above with these partners: Judiciocracy LLC; Control NEW MLSS LLC; the Coalition Opposing Governmental Secrecy; the Association of Principled Press; LegalSolved LLC; Sinai Legal Association for Memory and Modernity; Cryptocurrency Anti-Fraud Education (CAFE) Association; Children of the Court; and advertising networks, including Google, an advertising network operated by Control NEW MLSS LLC and an advertising network operated (or, once launched, to be operated) by Liberty Digital Holdings, LLC. Advertising networks use it to show and measure advertising. The other partners may use it under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not collect readers' names or contact details, so we have none to share.
Separately, the tools listed above send data straight from your browser to Cloudflare (hosting and delivery) and Google (analytics), so they also see your IP address and browser details. Under California and some other states' laws, our sharing can count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; see your choices and the California notice below.
Your choices
- In the United States, analytics, and the sharing with partners and advertising networks that comes with it, is on unless you switch it off below, except where the law requires your permission first: in California nothing runs until you press Accept. We respond to browser privacy signals as required by law.
- Everywhere else, nothing runs until you accept the banner.
Covered persons: New Jersey's Daniel's Law
If you are a judge, a prosecutor or a law-enforcement officer, or an immediate family member of one, and you want your home address, unpublished home telephone number or personal email address removed from what we publish or share, email [email protected]. Send your name, your role, a way to reach you, and each address, number or email address to remove. We verify each request, act on the personal details you list, and reply within 10 business days. We do not remove a name, or a business contact such as a courthouse or agency address.
By sending a request you promise that everything in it is true and complete, and that you are the covered person or are authorized to act for that person. You understand that you are asking a Missouri entity to act and are reaching into Missouri to do so; that Missouri law governs your request and any dispute about it; that you submit to the jurisdiction of, and agree that venue lies in, the courts of St. Louis County, Missouri; and that Liberty Digital Holdings is relying on these promises in acting on your request.
Delete your data
The button above deletes the page-view records tied to this browser's visitor ID and cookie and turns analytics and sharing off here. We also tell the partners that received your data to delete it. You can also email [email protected].
California notice
Notice at collection. In the last 12 months we collected these categories of personal information from readers' browsers: identifiers (a random visitor ID and cookie ID, and your IP address, which we store); internet activity (pages viewed, referring site, time on page, scroll depth, and your path across our sites); geolocation (country, state, city, coordinates and postal code); and device, browser and language information. We collect it to measure readership, secure and fix our sites, and improve our coverage. We do not collect names, contact details or sensitive personal information from readers.
Sale and sharing. Beginning October 6, 2026 we sell or share these categories of personal information (identifiers, internet activity, geolocation, and device, browser and language information) with these categories of third parties: affiliated and related companies, organizations we work with, and advertising networks (including Google). The recipients are named above under "Who we share it with." In the 12 months before October 6, 2026 we disclosed these categories only to Cloudflare (hosting and delivery) and Google (analytics), through the tools described above. To opt out, use "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the footer of any page or the button above; opting out turns off our analytics tags and the sharing on this browser, withholds your data from our partners from then on, and tells partners that already received it to stop selling or sharing it. We also respond to browser opt-out signals as required by law. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Retention. Anything held by our partners follows their own retention practices and the settings of our accounts with them.
Your rights. California residents may ask to know what we collected, to have it deleted or corrected, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (see above). We will not treat you differently for exercising a right. We respond to browser opt-out signals as required by law. Use the buttons above, or email [email protected]; an authorized agent may write to the same address. We respond within 45 days. Residents of other states with privacy laws may use the same methods.
Changes
If this policy changes we will post the new version here and update the date.
